How are you? Sorry I’ve taken, so long to write, but I've been busy with mid-term exams. Anyway, I thought I’d drop you a line to tell you about my trip.
Manchester is a really exciting city with millions of things to do. There's so much to choose from, I sometime found it hard to make up my mind where to go. However, heavy traffic made it difficult to get around.
Our house was half a mile from the city center. It was very large. Upstairs there were three bedrooms and a bathroom. Downstairs there was a small bathroom, a huge kitchen and a spacious living room with a fireplace.
Living with a host family is the best way to master English. You have no other options but to speak English every day. Besides, living with a host family is usually cheaper than staying in dorms. I felt very welcomed and involved by the host family. They made sure I was always a part of the group and was comfortable, fed, and relaxed.
Unfortunately, there can be some disadvantages. For instance, I had less privacy. Certainly, I had my own room, but I had to share the rest of the house with my host family.
I would really like you to come on vacation to my country. We can go sightseeing or just have a good time in the countryside.
That's all for now.
